'Zap Image Solution'

ZAP is a true archiving software package. It should not be confused with traditional catalog browsers that just link to pictures scattered over your hard drive. With ZAP, your pictures are stored in a database format that is indexed for easy retrieval and compressed to save space on your drive.

'WinLIFT'

ZAP uses the WinLIFT "Skin Engine" to perform skinning of the whole application. The WinLIFT "Skin Engine" is a 32-bit DLL that could be used with any compiler able to deal with SDK style programming.

Main features include:

• Backup all pictures easily as they are self contained in a single file that prevents them from being deleted or renamed unexpectedly.
• In most cases, see a reduction of 40% or more in drive storage requirements.
• Pictures are stored in a non-destructive compressed format that does not affect the presentation of the original pictures.
• Storing pictures from different directories with the same name has been addressed by assigning a unique number to every picture in the database.
• Ability to use a password to restrict access to specific pictures, a valuable feature for professional applications (medical records for example), or to protect the privacy of your graphic collection.
• ZAP Standard Edition and ZAP Pro give rights to distribute "ZAP e x p l o r e r" along with your pictures, using a CD burner and the Windows autorun technology. People will not only see your pictures, but also the comments bounded to the pictures. ZAP Pro offers the possibility to use a dedicated "Skin" and your company's logo, so people will think that you have designed the software yourself. You can also use HTML pages to customize the help system files.

'Zap Image Solution' was created using LEADTOOLS Imaging Pro Versions 9 and 10.1. It was used with the PowerBASIC PB/DLL compiler, allowing the ability to produce fast and small native 32-bit code.
