Blurring And Sharpening
LEADTOOLS functions in the Blurring And Sharpening category
Reduce the noise in the image by softening the image edges using linear filters such as averaging, guassian blur, radial blur, zoom blur, smooth edges, or motion blur. You can also use non-linear filters such as median, minimum or maximum. Additionally, you can focus blurred images by increasing the edge contrast using different methods such as sharpen, unsharp mask, or highpass filter.
Functions Available in Blurring And Sharpening
- Median Filter
-
Changes the color of each pixel in an image to the median color of pixels in its neighborhood.
- Sharpen
-
Increases or decreases the sharpness of the image in the specified image.
- Minimum Filter
-
Dilates dark objects by the specified amount.
- Maximum Filter
-
Erodes dark objects by the specified amount.
- Gaussian Filter
-
Smoothes or blurs an image by applying a Gaussian filter to the specified image.
- Unsharp Mask
-
Sharpens the specified image by applying the unsharp mask. Unsharpen mask tends to show more details in areas of an image that are normally not visible.
- Motion Blur
-
Applies a filter, which creates the illusion of movement in an image.
- High Pass
-
Removes low frequency details in an image, resulting in a sharpened image.
- Radial Blur
-
Blurs the image by rotating the pixels around the specified center point
- Zoom Blur
-
Blurs the image along radial lines starting from a specified center point.
- Smooth Edges
-
Smoothes the rough edges in the image
- Average Filter
-
Changes the color of each pixel in a image to the average color of pixels in its neighborhood. This results in a blur effect.
- Pixelate
-
Divides the image into rectangular or circular cells and then recreates the image by filling those cells with the minimum, maximum, or average pixel value, depending upon the effect that was selected.
- Wind
-
Creates thin lines, directed along certain angle, on the specified image.
- Anti Alias
-
Applies an anti-aliasing filter to the specified image.
- Add Bitmaps
-
Adds or averages the images in a list.
- Add Weighted Bitmaps
-
Adds or averages the images in a list according to their weight factors, this function minimizes the noise and improves night vision images
- Glow Filter
-
Makes the colored edges shine with a neon glow.
- Resize-Interpolate
-
Resizes the image to a new width and height based on advanced interpolation methods.
