Image File Formats: JPEG2000JPEG2000 SDK

LEADTOOLS supports loading, saving and converting both the JPEG2000 codestream in 8 bit grayscale and 24 bit color, and the JP2 file format in 8 bit grayscale and 24 bit color. Additionally, LEADTOOLS supports the JPX (Part 2) extension of JPEG2000.

JPEG2000 Part 2 (JPX) SDK Features

• Save list of bitmaps such as 3D volumetric encoded slices include support for 24 bit RGB and 8, 12-16 bit grayscale* code streams and more.
• Opacity channels.
• All standard metadata boxes such as XML, digital signature, intelletual property and more.
• Append and extract additional images (frames).
• Append and extract metadata boxes.
• Full control of codestreams, frames, metadata.
• Read and write GML data.
• Animation support.
• Fragmentation support providing the following benefits:
• Edit an image, resaving the changed tiles to the end of the file.
• Distribute images across several disks for faster access.
• Distribute the image across the Internet, allowing only certain users access to the high quality or high resolution portions of the codestream.
• Reuse of the headers from within a codestream across multiple codestreams (to minimize file overhead when storing similar codestreams witin the same JPX file)
