Seeking Developer Support Agent
LEAD Technologies, Inc., leading manufacturer of imaging software development kits (SDKs), seeks a full-time Developer Support Agent. In this position, you will work directly with customers using LEADTOOLS SDK’s (Software Development Kits) by providing technical support and addressing any pre-sales technical issues they may have (see below description for more information). Job Description
Duties and responsibilities will grow with experience and aptitude. Initially, duties will include:
- Providing technical support to customers via phone and email.
- Answering any pre-sales issues customers may have. This includes providing solutions to customers based on their objective and explaining how to integrate our product into their application.
- Duplicating and reporting bugs found in the SDK to our engineering department.
- Writing sample code for customers to provide a proof of concept based on the customers objective.
- Writing demo applications. These applications may be tasks assigned by the engineering department or demos that customers will be able to use to help them better understand how to achieve a specific objective with our SDK.
Required Qualifications
The successful applicant will be a computer science/engineering major or have equivalent relevant experience. Working knowledge of Microsoft C++ is a must.
The ability to multi-task and understand complex problems is required. The applicant must also be very motivated, have excellent people skills, be comfortable assisting customers over the phone, and be willing to constantly learn new technologies. Initial training & orientation will be provided; thereafter, strong self-motivation and independent execution is expected.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include Visual Studio .NET (C# and/or VB.NET).
