LEADTOOLS Medical Web Viewer Web-based Dicom viewing

The LEADTOOLS Medical Web Viewer is a fully functional web-based, DICOM-enabled medical/radiology viewer. The module implements the basic features that are available in a telemedicine solution using the LEADTOOLS medical imaging toolkit and the Microsoft.NET framework. Some of the features available in this module include querying for a patient/study based on different keys, viewing images from any machine with Microsoft Internet Explorer, lossless image compression using JPEG and JPEG 2000, image markup and much more.

This module also shows how to use LEADTOOLS with the following technologies:

• XML web services.
• ASP.NET.
• Windows forms and user controls.
• ADO.NET and Microsoft SQL Server.

The Medical Web Viewer includes full source code, and adds on to the LEADTOOLS Medical Imaging Suite toolkit. The module allows programmers to build a full featured web-based medical viewer in a very short time, with very high quality. You can run the module either in the "Thin Client" or in the "Thick Client ". In the "Thin Client ", nothing gets downloaded to the client machine; the DICOM images are loaded on the server side and converted to JPEG and sent to the client. In the "Thick Client" a .NET user control gets downloaded to the client machine and is used to retrieve, view, process and manipulate the images that represent the DICOM series.

To choose between one mode or another just select the "Rich Client " or the "Thin Client" box that appears right before the list of studies found in the query page, as shown in the figure below:
