Introduction

LEADTOOLS DICOM COM Objects include several custom interfaces/objects developed by LEAD Technologies, Inc. that provide a means for incorporating DICOM image file format support into your applications. These interfaces/objects are:

$image\sqrblit.gif$ the ILEADDicomKernel Interface/Object, which provides general support that lets you unlock LEADTOOLS features and generate runtime exceptions.

$image\sqrblit.gif$ the ILEADDicomFactory Interface/Object, which lets you create instances of licensed COM objects. This interface/object is particularly useful when working in Visual Basic, VisualBasic Script, Java Script and ASP.

$image\sqrblit.gif$ the ILEADDicomDS Interfaces/Objects, which provide support for incorporating DICOM image file format support into your applications.

$image\sqrblit.gif$ the ILEADDicomNet Interfaces/Objects, which provide support for the DICOM Network Communication Support for Message Exchange.

$image\sqrblit.gif$ the ILEADDicomDir and the ILEADDicomDirEvents Interfaces/Objects, which provide support for the Basic Dicom Directory.

These LEAD DICOM COM Interfaces/Objects are available in all Medical Imaging toolkits.

You can use the LEADTOOLS DICOM COM Interfaces/Objects in any programming environment that supports OLE custom controls, including the following:

Visual C++ 4.2 and later

Visual Basic 4.0 and later
