L_GetMinMaxVal
#include "l_bitmap.h"
L_INT EXT_FUNCTION L_GetMinMaxVal(pBitmap, pMinVal, pMaxVal)
pBITMAPHANDLE pBitmap; |
/* pointer to the bitmap handle */ |
/* address of the minimum value variable to be updated */ | |
/* address of the maximum value variable to be updated */ |
Returns the minimum and maximum intensity values present in a 12 or 16-bit grayscale and 48 and 64-bit image. This function is available in the Document/Medical Toolkits only.
Parameter |
Description |
pBitmap |
Pointer to the bitmap handle of a 12-bit or 16-bit grayscale and 48 and 64-bit bitmap. |
pMinVal |
Address of a variable that will be updated with the minimum intensity value present in the bitmap. |
pMaxVal |
Address of a variable that will be updated with the maximum intensity value present in the bitmap. |
Returns
SUCCESS |
The function was successful. |
< 1 |
An error occurred. Refer to Return Codes. |
Comments
The minimum and maximum values can be used to create a lookup table, for use in L_WindowLevel or L_WindowLevelBitmap.
For signed bitmaps, the minimum intensity and the maximum intensity values can be negative.
This function supports 12 and 16-bit grayscale. Support for 12 and 16-bit grayscaleimages is available only in the Document/Medical toolkits.
This function supports signed data images.

Example
This example gets the minimum and maximum pixel values for an image.
BITMAPHANDLE LeadBitmap; /* Bitmap handle of the image. */
L_INT L_FAR nLow; /* the minimum value */
L_INT L_FAR nHigh; /* the maximum value*/
/* get min/max values */
L_GetMinMaxVal(&LeadBitmap, &nLow, &nHigh);
