OnAnnCreate event (ILEADRasterAnnotation)

Visual Basic example

Visual C++ 5.0 example

Delphi 4 example

C++ Builder example

Syntax

void OnAnnCreate (long hAnnObject);

Overview

Refer to Implementing Annotations.

Remarks

(Document/Medical only) Occurs whenever an annotation object is added by any means, including loading from a file, pasting from the clipboard, or drawing with an annotation tool selection.

The object handle that this event provides can be used to immediately identify the object, but it should not be used as a unique identifier over time. (The annotation undo feature can cause object handles to change.)

Therefore, to keep track of particular objects such as buttons or hot spots over time, you should use the AnnSetTag method and the AnnGetTag method.

When you load a file, an OnAnnCreate event is generated for each annotation object. You can add code in this event to see which tags are already used in a file.
