Installation Directory

The installation procedure creates a directory tree for the LEADTOOLS files, demonstration programs and online help. You specify the root directory during installation.

Please note that due to the large size of the PDF files that contain the LEADTOOLS manuals, these files are no longer included in the setup. Instead, these PDF files can be downloaded from our website at http://support.leadtools.com/SupportPortal/DesktopDefault.aspx?tabindex=3&tabid=27.

The following is a list of the subdirectories in the root directory:

BIN	Executable files for the demonstration programs.
EXAMPLES\VCL	One subdirectory for each example VCL program.
EXAMPLES\RES	Resource files for the example programs.
HELP	Online help files.
IMAGES	Sample images and databases containing images.
IMPORTANT FORMS	Contracts, Pricing Schedules, Runtime Agreements, etc.
INCLUDE	Header files.
LIB\VCL\DELPHI7	The LEADTOOLS VCL Delphi 7.0 package and unit files.
LIB\VCL\DELPHI9	The LEADTOOLS VCL Delphi 9.0 package and unit files.
LIB\VCL\BUILDER5	The LEADTOOLS VCL Builder 5.0 package, LIB and header files.
LIB\VCL\BUILDER6	The LEADTOOLS VCL Builder 6.0 package, LIB and header files.
REDIST	Redistributable files. These are copies of the LEADTOOLS files and other files that you may need to distribute with your application. For exact information about required files, refer to Files To Be Included With Your Application.
REDIST\NONAG	This directory contains the LTKRN DLL that must be distributed with your application. For more information about the nag and no-nag versions of LTKRN, refer to Document/Medical Support and Licensing Requirements. For non-royalty products, the extra licensing requirements do not apply, simply distribute the LTKRN from REDIST\NONAG.
USES	Pascal user uses and includes files.
