Installation Directory

The installation procedure creates a directory tree for the LEADTOOLS files, and adds the demonstration programs and online help to your desktop. You specify the root directory during installation.

Please note that due to the large size of the PDF files that contain the LEADTOOLS manuals, these files are no longer included in the setup. Instead, these PDF files can be downloaded from our website at http://support.leadtools.com/SupportPortal/DesktopDefault.aspx?tabindex=3&tabid=27.

The following is a list of the subdirectories in the root directory:

BIN	Executable files for the demonstration programs.
HELP	Online help files.
IMAGES	Sample images and databases containing images.
EXAMPLES\COM	One subdirectory for each example COM program.
EXAMPLES\RES	Resource files for the example programs.
INCLUDE	Header files, BAS files, and the ActiveX's MFC interface files for versions of Visual C++ earlier than 4.0.
LIB	Library files.
REDIST	Redistributable files. These are copies of the LEADTOOLS files and other files that you may need to distribute with your application. For exact information about required files, refer to Files To Be Included With Your Application.
REDIST\COM	Redistributable files. These are copies of the LEADTOOLS COM Object files and other files that you may need to distribute with your application. For exact information about required files, refer to Files To Be Included With Your Application.
REDIST\COM\NONAG	This directory contains the LEADRaster COM Object DLL that must be distributed with your application.
