1 Acquiring Images
LEADTOOLS provides in-depth support for image acquisition through industry standard interfaces from a wide variety of software sources and hardware devices. This allows you to acquire images from cameras, Fax streams, TWAIN and Fast TWAIN scans or capture cards, PDF downloads, and more than 150 other file formats. In addition, LEADTOOLS Screen Capture functions can be used to acquire all or part of any screen—for example, from applications that do not have text output. The resulting images can then be used with any LEADTOOLS image processing function, such as OCR.
NOTE: At the time of release, 64-bit TWAIN and related drivers were not available. As soon as 64-bit TWAIN becomes available, LEADTOOLS will release 64-bit TWAIN support.
