Multimedia Filter and Codec Licensing

The LEADTOOLS Multimedia SDK and LEADTOOLS Medical SDKs are distributed with a variety of DirectShow filters, video codecs and audio codecs that may be used for manipulating and compressing audio or video data.

Many filters and codecs may be redistributed on a royalty free-basis with your end user application,  in accordance with the LEADTOOLS Software License Agreement ("SLA").   Redistributable versions of these filters and codecs are included with the LEADTOOLS Multimedia and Medical SDK setups.

Additional filters and codecs require runtime licenses if you wish to deploy and/or redistribute them with your end user application.  Evaluation versions of these filters and codecs are included with the LEADTOOLS Multimedia setup. Redistributable versions of any of these filters or codecs will be provided to you when you have signed the appropriate Multimedia Duplication and Distribution Agreement For Codecs/Direct Show Filters and/or Medical Multimedia Filter Pack Duplication and Distribution License Rider.
