Retrieves the index of the format that matches the specified name.

Pointer to an IltmmTargetFormats interface. |
Name |
String containing the name of the format to find. |
Index |
Pointer to a variable that receives zero based index of the matching format. A value of –1 indicates that no match was found. |

Comments
A format’s name is unique. An application can use this function to find a specific format. A format’s name can be retrieved with the IltmmTargetFormat::get_Name function or by using the "LTMM DirectShow Filter List Utility" .
