Retrieves the index of the device that matches the specified name.

Pointer to an IltmmTargetDevices Interface. |

Character string containing the name of the device to be found. |
Index |
Pointer to a variable that receives zero based index of the matching device. A value of –1 indicates that no match was found. |

Comments
A device’s name is unique. An application can use this function to find a specific device. A device’s name can be retrieved with the ltmmTargetDevice::get_Name function or by using the "LTMM DirectShow Filter List Utility".
