L_GetMinMaxBits

#include "l_bitmap.h"

L_LTIMGCOR_API L_INT L_GetMinMaxBits(pBitmap, pLowBit, pHighBit, uFlags)

pBITMAPHANDLE pBitmap;

/* pointer to the bitmap handle */

L_INT *pLowBit;

/* address of a low bit variable to be updated */

L_INT *pHighBit;

/* address of a high bit variable to be updated */

L_UINT32 uFlags;

/* flags*/

Returns the low and high bits of the values present in a 12 or 16-bit grayscale and 48 and 64-bit image.

Parameter

Description

pBitmap

Pointer to the bitmap handle of a 12-bit or 16-bit grayscale and 48 and 64-bit bitmap.

pLowBit

Address of a variable that will be updated with the lowest bit set in the bitmap.

pHighBit

Address of a variable that will be updated with the highest bit set in the bitmap.

uFlags

Reserved for future use. Must be 0.

Returns

SUCCESS

The function was successful.

< 1

An error occurred. Refer to Return Codes.

Comments

The minimum and maximum bit values can be used to specify the range of useful bits and to create a lookup table, for use in L_WindowLevel or L_WindowLevelBitmap.

This function supports 12 and 16-bit grayscale. Support for 12 and 16-bit grayscaleimages is available in the Document and Medical Imaging toolkits.

This function does not support 32-bit grayscale images. It returns the error code ERROR_GRAY32_UNSUPPORTED if a 32-bit grayscale image is passed to this function.
