Formats of Multimedia Output Files

The LEADTOOLS Multimedia Features writes the following file formats:

AVI (compressed with any available compressors on the user's machine)

Mpeg1 Layer-3 Audio (MP3)

MPEG1 System (video and audio) This requires the use of an MPEG1-compatible audio and video compressor Also known as an encoder, this is a module or algorithm to compress data. Playing that data back requires a decompressor, or decoder. . The LEAD MPEG Audio Encoder Also known as compressor, this is a module or algorithm to compress data. Playing that data back requires a decompressor, or decoder. decoder Also known as a decompressor, this is a module or algorithm to decompress data. .decoder . and LEAD MPEG2 Video Encoder can be used. (The LEAD MPEG2 Video Encoder can generate MPEG1-compatible video compression.)

MPEG2 Program (video and audio) This requires the use of an MPEG2-compatible audio and video compressor. The LEAD MPEG Audio Encoder, LEAD AC3 The LEAD AC3 Audio Codec is a DirectShow filter that supports the encoding of audio streams using the AC3 standard. The LEAD AC3 encoder provides options to control the quality and the number of output channels. AC3 is a 5.1 format, which means that it provides five full bandwidth channels: front left, front right, center, surround left, and surround right. A low-frequency effect (LFE) channels is included for the sound needed for special effects and action sequences in movies. AC3 also has a downmixing feature that ensures compatibility with devices that do not support the 5.1 format. Audio Codec Software component that compresses and decompresses audio. Codec stands for COmpressor and DECompressor. is a DirectShow filter that supports the encoding of audio streams using the AC3 standard. Audio Encoder,  LEAD MPEG2 Video Encoder, LEAD MPEG4 Video Encoder, and LEAD H264 LEAD H264 is a DirectShow filter for compressing and decompressing Video data using the H264/AVC standard. H264 is the latest video standard developed jointly by ITUand MPEG. H264/AVC provides a far more efficient algorithm for compressing video. It typically outperforms all existing standards by a factor of three to four especiallyin comparison to MPEG-2. Video Encoder can be used.

MPEG2 Transport (video and audio) This requires the use of an MPEG2-compatible audio and video compressor.  The LEAD MPEG Audio Encoder, LEAD AC3 Audio Encoder,  LEAD MPEG2 Video Encoder, LEAD MPEG4 Video Encoder, and LEAD H264 Video Encoder can be used.

OGG (compressed using any compressor available on the user's machine)

Flash version 6 ( FLV [Flash Version 6 format. Uses the FLV multiplexer, H.263 video compression and MP3 audio compression] )

Flash version 9 ( F4V/MP4 [Flash Version 9 format. Also known as 'Flash HD', it uses the ISO multiplexer, H.264 video compression and AAC audio compression] )

WAV (using any available audio compressors on the user's machine)

Windows Media Formats (WMA, WMV, ASF) (only if Windows Media support is enabled)

DICOM

ISO Base Media File Format (MP4, AAC, AVC)

Still Images

DVR file types (.LBL .LRC)
