IltmmConvert::EstimateOutputBitRate
#include "ltmm.h"
C Syntax |
HRESULT IltmmConvert_EstimateOutputBitRate(pConvert, pBitRate) |
C++ Syntax |
HRESULT EstimateOutputBitRate(pBitRate) |
IltmmConvert *pConvert; |
/* pointer to an interface */ |
long *pBitRate; |
/* pointer to a variable */ |
Retrieves the estimated conversion output bit rate, in bits per second.
Parameter |
Description |
pConvert |
Pointer to an IltmmConvert interface. |
pBitRate |
Pointer to a variable to be updated with the estimated output bit rate. |
Returns
S_OK |
The function was successful. |
<> S_OK |
An error occurred. Refer to the Error Codes or the HRESULT error codes in the DirectShow documentation. |
Comments
The returned bit rate depends on the state of the convert object.
If the object is in the running state, the returned bit rate is related to the actual number of bytes that have been written.
While if the object is not running, the returned bit rate is a theoretical value dependent on the conversion settings and the chosen encoding settings.
