Product Description:
LEADTOOLS OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) modules are used for recognizing optical marks (checkmarks). Typical applications include the processing of questionnaires, ballots, educational tests and reporting, and ordering sheets, where the documents to be processed are form-like and filled in by hand by respondents.
OMR features extend the functionality of LEADTOOLS SDKs by providing properties, methods, and events for easily incorporating optical mark recognition engines into your applications.
When recognizing an optical mark, the frame for the mark can be a rectangle, a hexagon, a circle, or an ellipse and can be filled in by any method (x, tick, hatching, horizontal or vertical lines, etc.). The frame may be visible or invisible (scanner dropout) in the image sent for recognition.
Recognition accuracy is 99.95% and the average recognition time is 0.005 seconds per check box zone (measured on a computer with 166 MHz Pentium Processor / 16 MB RAM).
