The stamp annotation object (AnnStampObject) can be a bitmap image or a text string in a rectangular frame. With the automated functions, the user clicks and drags to specify a rectangle. Then, if the user specifies a text string, the text is centered in the rectangle. If the user specifies a bitmap, the bitmap is scaled to fit the rectangle. On a device that displays 256 colors or less, you should use a fixed palette when displaying bitmaps. Otherwise, a palette shift will occur on stamp objects containing bitmaps.

An object can be part of a group annotation object or part of a container object. It cannot be part of both a group and a container at the same time. The Container property and the Group property, both inherited from the AnnObject class, contain information on the container or the group to which the object belongs.
