Audio Clip Tool
Note: This topic is for Document/Medical only.
The audio clip annotation object is a rectangle containing a scaled image that can be activated to play a WAV file. In design mode, click and drag to specify the rectangle in the current window. Then, specify the WAV file in the dialog box. Holding down the Shift key while drawing the audio clip will make the audio clip annotation square. In run mode, clicking on the icon plays the WAV file.
In design mode, you can click on the object with the right mouse button to do the following:
Undo the last user action.
Cut or copy the object to the clipboard.
Delete the object.
Bring the object to the front or send it to the back.
Select all objects.
Lock and unlock annotation objects. See Password Dialog Box for Annotations
Set and manage hyperlink properties for an object or group of objects. Note: The actual management of a hyperlink must be done through low-level implementation. Only the Menu Item "Hyperlink" and an associated event are provided through the automation object. For more information, refer to Implementing Annotation Hyperlinks.
Select a WAV file to load into the object. See Audio File Dialog Box for Annotations.
When you save this type of annotation, the WAV file is not saved. Only its path is saved.
You cannot flip, reverse, or rotate an audio clip. If you flip, reverse, or rotate a container that includes an audio clip, the object will move to the new position, but will retain its orientation.
For low-level implementation details, refer to Audio Clip Annotation Object.
