#include "ltmm.h"

C Syntax

HRESULT IltmmWMStreamConfig__put_BufferWindow(pStreamConfig, newVal)

C++ Syntax

HRESULT put_BufferWindow(newVal)

IltmmWMStreamConfig *pStreamConfig;

/* pointer to an interface */

long newVal;

/* latency */

Sets the latency in milliseconds between the stream reception and display.

Parameter

Description

pStreamConfig

Pointer to an IltmmWMStreamConfig interface.

newVal

The latency value, in milliseconds, to set.

Returns

S_OK

The function was successful.

<> S_OK

An error occurred. Refer to the Error Codes or the HRESULT error codes in the DirectShow documentation.

Comments

Use a value of 1 to indicate an unknown latency. The larger the buffer window, the higher the quality in the case of video streams. However, it is not recommended to have streams that have widely different latencies.

You must call IltmmWMProfile::ReconfigStream to use the new value.

For more information, refer to the Microsoft documentation for IWMStreamConfig::SetBufferWindow .
