L_VOID pEXT_CALLBACK Your Function(hNet, nError, UserData)

HDICOMNET hNet;

/* a DICOM Network handle */

L_INT nError;

/* error code */

L_VOID * UserData;

/* pointer to additional data */

Notifies a listening connection (SCP) that it can accept pending connection requests. This function is available in the PACS Imaging.

Parameter

Description

hNet

A DICOM Network handle.

nError

Error code. Refer to Return Codes.

UserData

Void pointer that you can use to access a variable or structure containing data that your callback function needs. This gives you a way to receive data indirectly from the function that uses this callback function.

Keep in mind that this is a void pointer, which must be cast to the appropriate data type within your callback function.

Returns

None.

Comments

A call to this function is generated on an SCP when an SCU calls L_DicomConnect.

To use this callback function, ACCEPTCALLBACK must be set using L_DicomSetCallback.

To accept a connection request, call L_DicomAccept.

You should always accept a connection request. Once the connection is made you can check the client and close the connection if you do not wish to maintain it. Since the connection requests are queued, if you do not accept a connection, it remains in the queue. When the next request is received, it is placed in the queue behind the first request. Calling L_DicomAccept at this point will connect the first request, not the second, since the first request is still in the queue.
