LDicomNet::SendNonSecureISCL

#include "ltdic.h"

L_INT32 LDicomNet::SendNonSecureISCL(pBuffer, nBytes)

L_UCHAR *pBuffer;

/* pointer to a buffer */

L_UINT32 nBytes;

/* length of data to be sent */

Send the data in pBuffer over an ISCL connection, unsecured. This data is not encrypted and the message has no authentication code. This function is available in the PACS Imaging toolkits.

Parameter

Description

pBuffer

Pointer to a buffer that contains the data to be sent.

nBytes

Size, in bytes, of the data to be sent.

Returns

DICOM_SUCCESS

Success. The data was dispatched to the ISCL network level.

DICOM_ERROR_MEMORY

An error occurred. Refer to Return Codes.

Comments

The non-secure send is the fastest method of transmitting data over an ISCL connection. It is faster than the normal send/receive process and has no encryption and no message authentication codes.
