Depending on which LEADTOOLS SDK or Add On Module/Plug In you have purchased, the license terms may require deployment licensing based on the number of copies of your application that you deploy (i.e., distribute or install and use internally). For a list of SDKs and Module/Plug Ins requiring runtime licenses see About LEADTOOLS Deployment Licenses
By paying the initial box price for the LEADTOOLS product you licensed, you have obtained a temporary development license, which entitles you to develop your application and test it. You may not use the resulting application in production until you have entered into a duplication and distribution agreement with LEAD and purchased a deployment license. You have the ability to choose from several licensing options depending on your volume needs and deployment method.
The software you are installing is a fully functional working version and includes support for all features in the entire LEADTOOLS product line. Therefore, you will have programmatic access to all functions of LEAD's various SDKs and Modules/Plug Ins. Until you sign and return the correct runtime licensing agreement, your application will display a "nag" message and the software will also expire after a period of 60 days. Once LEAD receives the executed contract and you purchase a deployment license, we will provide you with your unique license file and developer keys that will permit you to terminate the "nag" message for the product that you have licensed. For more information, refer to LEADTOOLS Licensing Summary.
