LDicomAssociate::GetUserRole

Returns the value for the User Role of the specified Presentation Context of the DICOM Associate.

Parameter

Description

nID

Presentation ID of the Presentation Context from which to retrieve the User Role. The presentation ID provides information about both the class type of the data and the transfer syntax to use when transferring the data. It also identifies a specific Presentation Context within an Associate.

Returns

The value for the User Role of the specified Presentation Context of the DICOM Associate. Possible values are:

Value

Meaning

PDU_ROLE_NON_SUPPORT

[0] User role not supported.

PDU_ROLE_SUPPORT

[1] User role supported.

Comments

Support for the User Role allows the Application Entity to act as an SCU for that Presentation Context.

To enable Role Selection, call LDicomAssociate::SetRoleSelect.

To set the User and Provider Roles, call LDicomAssociate::SetRoleSelect.
