ILMDVRSink::StartBackupToFile

C Syntax

HRESULT ILMDVRSink_StartBackupToFile(pILMDVRSink, pszTargetFile, flags)

C++ Syntax

HRESULT StartBackupToFile(pszTargetFile, flags)

/*reserved for future use - set to 0*/

Call this method to start writing DVR recording data to a separate backup file.

Parameter

Description

pILMDVRSink

Pointer to an ILMDVRSink interface.

pszTargetFile

Pointer to a fully qualified path name to the destination backup file.

flags

Reserved for future use.  Set value to 0.

Returns

S_OK

The function was successful.

<> S_OK

An error occurred. Refer to the Error Codes or the HRESULT error codes in the DirectShow documentation.

Comments

Starts writing the DVR recording data to the specified backup file. This function is not affected by DVR settings or by calls to the ILMDVRSINK::StartChangingAttributes or ILMDVRSINK::StopChangingAttributes methods. A call to ILMDVRSINK::StopBackupToFile stops writing DVR data.
