ILMNetSnkConnection::get_UserName

C Syntax

HRESULT ILMNetSnkConnection_get_UserName(pCon, pVal)

C++ Syntax

HRESULT get_UserName(pVal)

 

ILMNetSnkConnection * pCon;

/* pointer to an interface */

BSTR *pVal;

/* pointer to a string */

Retrieves the user name used to establish this connection.

Parameter

Description

pCon

Pointer to an ILMNetSnkConnection interface.

pVal

Pointer to a character string to be updated with the user name used to establish this connection. User names (accounts) are assigned (created) and managed by the server side. For more information, refer to the ILMNetSnk interface. The returned user name string might be empty if the server does not require logon.

Returns

S_OK

The function was successful.

An error occurred. Refer to the Error Codes or the HRESULT error codes in the DirectShow documentation.

Comments

If the function succeeds, the user is responsible for freeing the retrieved user name string by calling SysFreeString.
