LEADTOOLS Multimedia API Help > LEADTOOLS Multimedia Features > Multimedia Function References > IltmmCapture Interface > IltmmCapture::put_Balance |
The portion of the file holding the audio data. The audio data may be compressed to save disk space. The data has to be decompressed using an audio decompressor before you can play (hear) it.
Software component which decompresses audio. It must be designed to work with ACM or DirectShow. Note that different compression methods require different decompressors. There is no universal decompressor capable of decoding all compressed streams.

C Syntax |
HRESULT IltmmCapture_put_Balance(pCapture, newVal) |
C++ Syntax |
HRESULT put_Balance(newVal) |
IltmmCapture *pCapture; |
/* pointer to an interface */ |
long newVal; |
/* balance */ |
Sets the balance value for the audio stream of the preview output. .
Parameter |
Description |
pCapture |
Pointer to an IltmmCapture interface. |
newVal |
The balance value to set. Possible values range from -10000 to 10000, where -10000 indicates that the right channel will receive no signal, 10000 indicates that the left channel will receive no signal, and 0 indicates that both channels will get the same amount of the audio signal. |
Returns
S_OK |
The function was successful. |
<> S_OK |
An error occurred. Refer to the Error Codes or the HRESULT error codes in the DirectShow documentation. |
Comments
Units correspond to .01 decibels (multiplied by -1 when newVal is a positive value). For example, a value of 1000 indicates -10 dB on the right channel and -90 dB on the left channel.
This property applies only to the preview output. The audio stream in the captured content is not affected.
