Parameter

Description

pMultiStreamTarget

Pointer to an IltmmMultiStreamTarget interface.

Stream

The stream index (0-based) for which to set the accepted media type.

pMediaType

Pointer to an IltmmMediaSampleDisp interface that specifies the media type to set for the stream at the specified index.

Returns

S_OK

The function was successful.

<> S_OK

An error occurred. Refer to the Error Codes or the HRESULT error codes in the DirectShow documentation.

Comments

You have to define the media type for each stream before the multi stream target object is added to any other multimedia object.

The passed media type might only partially describe the media type the stream can accept; this is intended for specifying the major properties of the media type (although you can specify all properties of the media type). This media type might be different from the actually connected media type returned by IltmmMultiStreamTarget::GetConnectedMediaType.
