The portion of the file holding the video data. The video data might be compressed to save disk space. The data has to be decompressed using a video decompressor before you can play (see) it.decompressor before you can play (see) it.decompressor before you can play (see) it.decompressor before you can play (see) it.decompressor before you can play (see) it.
Also known as a decoder , this is a module or algorithm to decompress data.

The Auto Level Video filtereffect performs color leveling on the individual R, G and B channels, treating each of the R, G and B channels as a separate entity, without changing colors. It makes the dark values darker and the light values lighter, which automatically enhances shadows and brightens the video stream . It also maximizes the tonal range of the image and enhances the contrast and intensity using the image's histogram and a color distribution-based algorithm. The property page is shown in the figure below:
The Auto Level property page provides a user interface for changing the filter's attributes. Changes will be applied directly to the streaming media with the ability to set them permanently by selecting Apply or OK, or to abandon changes by selecting Cancel. Positioning the mouse pointer over a control displays general information for that control. The following table shows the controls and their descriptions:
