C Syntax

HRESULT IltmfPlay_put_SourceObject(pPlay, newVal)

C++ Syntax

HRESULT put_SourceObject(newVal)

 

IltmfPlay *pPlay;

/* pointer to an interface */

IUnknown *newVal;

/* media data */

Sets the media source to a COM object.

Parameter

Description

pPlay

Pointer to an IltmfPlay interface.

newVal

Pointer to the COM object that generates the media data.

Returns

S_OK

The function was successful.

<> S_OK

An error occurred. Refer to the Error Codes or the HRESULT error codes in the MediaFoundation documentation.

Comments

This function allows the user to assign a COM object as the media source for the playback. The object may be any Media Foundation source object (implements the IMFMediaSource interface). The ResetSource function should be called to stop the Play object from accessing the object. The SourceType will be set to ltmfPlay_Source_Object.
