The DirectShow® filters C API provide multimedia components that can be used to compress, decompress, process, enhance, or stream video and audio data. Codecs (Compressers-Decompressers) encode (create) and decode (play) audio and video files. LEAD iCompress codecs support industry standards using LEAD's own industry-leading compression algorithms.
Use the LEAD iCompress codecs to compress large media files with no perceivable loss of quality. Additionally, compressing video down to 20% of its original file size makes the video easier to share, stream online, or place on popular handheld devices.
LEADTOOLS Multimedia SDK products and add-ons offer world-class codecs for the most popular encoding formats. They outperform every pre-installed and freeware codec on the market.
Multiplexers and demultiplexers are also provided, including MP4, AVI, MP3, WMV, MXF, MKV, 3GP, OGG, FLV (YouTube and HD Flash), ISO, and MPEG-2.
Streaming is supported by different types of filters.
Filters for performing color space conversions, post-processing, and adding special effects are included.
The LEADTOOLS Multimedia Suite enhances the LEADTOOLS Multimedia toolkit by unlocking every filter or codec (with the exception of the DICOM Filters). It also includes LEADTOOLS Imaging Pro.
Implicitly, it includes all the LEADTOOLS Multimedia Modules, as follows:
The LEADTOOLS Medical SDK includes a suite of state-of-the-art DirectShow filters for compressing and decompressing video and audio data inside DICOM files. This feature-rich product was designed to simplify converting cine images and video streams to DICOM objects. DICOM objects include X-ray Angiography (XA), Ultrasound (US), Visible Light (VL), Secondary Capture (SC) objects, and many more. This Filter Pack uses the most advanced compression DICOM standard algorithms used in the industry, including MPEG-2, Motion JPEG, and JPEG2000.
The Medical Module SDK includes two components:
Existing video software, such as Windows Media Player and Ulead Media Studio, use these filters to play the video (cine) data in a DICOM file.
