Intelligent capture can refer to a couple different ways of capturing data from images or documents. In this post, I'll be talking about how you can intelligently capture barcodes from scanned in files. The LEADTOOLS TWAIN SDK and Barcode SDK are libraries that developers can easily use to create applications for scanning in physical documents while capturing and extracting any barcode data found.

What it Does

This project will perform various image cleanup functions until a barcode is recognized using LEADTOOLS Version 19. To run the project, extract it to the C:\LEADTOOLS 19\Examples\DotNet\CS directory.

Introduction

An ideal solution would capture information from a document or form of ID customers already have on them such as a driver's license. This white paper will explore how programmers can use LEADTOOLS Driver's License Recognition or Barcode Recognition to extract identifying information from driver's licenses.

Many governing bodies have made significant strides towards making forgery more difficult. The unfortunate side-effect from that positive change is that traditional recognition algorithms are more difficult with the many colors, backgrounds, holograms, and layouts.
