Last month we published a white paper on eDiscovery, which gave a brief overview on the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM). Today, we want to dive into more details about the EDRM and how it pertains to imaging and LEADTOOLS in particular.

After the recent release of LEADTOOLS Version 19, we are excited to hit the road this Spring. HIMSS 2015 in Chicago will be our first stop where we will showcase all of our Medical, Document and Multimedia imaging technology at booth #7839.

In particular, LEADTOOLS V19 has many new features for use in PACS and EMR solutions which will be popular topics at the conference.

Recognizing the many benefits of Linux, LEAD Technologies has released a major update to its LEADTOOLS for Linux offering, which is available in its LEADTOOLS Document and Medical product families. With these features now available, Linux developers and administrators can leverage LEAD Technologies’ years of experience to build and host modular, enterprise document services on secure and stable Linux servers.

The LEADTOOLS Document Viewer services can now be hosted on Linux as Java services. The LEADTOOLS Document Viewer includes rich document-viewing features such as text search, annotation, memory-efficient paging, inertial scrolling and vector display of files such as PDF, SVG, DOCX and DWG/DXF in HTML5 applications.

We absolutely love hearing from our customers regarding our products. Today we'd like to introduce Carey Payette, an experienced programmer, mom of 3, black belt and conference speaker. She also writes for Code Project from time to time, which is why she is a part of our blog today.

She recently took LEADTOOLS for a spin and wrote about her experience with our Document Viewer and Document Converter technologies. Her article starts from scratch and shows how little effort it takes to view a raster image with searchable text in the Document Viewer. Then uses the Document Converter to convert the picture into a Microsoft Word DOCX file for editing.
