Continuing our LEAD Gives Back Blog series, we recently participated in a Lunch and Learn at Providence Day School where one of our software engineers presented to interested students of all ages on the topic of machine learning. It was a great opportunity for our engineer to share their passion for machine learning and artificial intelligence, including how they got into the field, steps interested students can take to learn more, and the complex and innovative future of Machine Learning.

Previously in our “LEAD Gives Back” blog series, we shared details about our Summer 2023 Internship Program where we hosted nine interns from local high school and colleges across Charlotte and surrounding areas. A few of those interns were also part of two larger community events we took on! Most recently, LEAD partnered with local Providence Day School as we hosted a student tour and presentation as well as took part in a special guest speaking opportunity where we shared our experience in entrepreneurship, software development, business, and more.

With our roots in Charlotte since the early 90s, LEAD has made it a constant goal to give back to the local community as well as student developers. As part of this, we want to share a few ways that we give back to our local student community in our new “LEAD Gives Back” blog series. In this post, we will go over the Summer Internship program that we offer to local high school and college students across the Charlotte and surrounding areas.

Throughout LEAD's 30+ year history, we have taken in numerous interns, typically during the summer and winter school breaks. This has been rewarding for both the students and our employees, as we work closely with the many bright minds that will pave the way forward for the next generation. There was so much interest in interning at LEAD this past summer that we decided to create a full Summer Internship Program.

What are LEADTOOLS Educational Licenses?

Working closely with college and university professors over the years, we have come up with a solution to offer FREE educational licenses for professors to help teach students how to successfully integrate an SDK and build various applications. The power of LEADTOOLS and the depth of our offering helps expand their knowledge base as well as their imagination about what’s possible with code in their future endeavors.

LEAD Gives Back: Families Forward Charlotte

With our roots in Charlotte since the early 90s, LEAD has made it a constant goal to give back to the community. As part of this, we want to share a few ways that we give back to our local community as part of our new “LEAD Gives Back” blog series. In this post, we will discuss our annual partnership with Families Forward Charlotte.

LEADTOOLS - FFC Donation Drop Off Each year, we partner with Families Forward Charlotte, a local organization that aims to empower and support low-income families in becoming self-sufficient by providing food, supplies, education, and other resources. Last year, FFC was able to host over 30 educational workshops covering topics of financial literacy, career readiness, mental health, and other life skills and through the last three years, Families Forward Charlotte has been able to help over 150 families in their family success program!
