If you haven't noticed already, it's trade show season here in the US. In fact, I'm writing this post after setting up our booth at the Android Developer Conference (AnDevCon) in Boston! Next week, June 3 - 6, LEAD will be exhibiting at Microsoft's TechEd North America in New Orleans in booth #328.

We look forward to showcasing our entire document, medical, raster and multimedia imaging product lines. Not only do we have the latest and greatest imaging SDK features for all the wonderful Microsoft products featured at TechEd like .NET, Win 32/64, Windows 8, WinRT, Surface, and Windows Phones, but we also have the most powerful and versatile cross-platform imaging libraries for HTML5, iOS, OS X, Android and Linux in case you are looking to port your Microsoft apps to additional platforms.

One of our favorite things to do at LEAD is be a part of making the world a better place to live through our technologies. As an SDK company, we enjoy a much broader reach than our local community since we get to be a part of many projects and ideas that our customers are coming up with. For example, LEADTOOLS DICOM and PACS technologies aren't serving just a couple local hospitals, but thousands of hospitals around the globe. That's literally hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of X-rays, CTs, MRIs, and the like displayed by LEADTOOLS.

If you have been following the news at all the past several months, it's been rather violent. In response, local governing bodies are starting to do more to increase security measures through printing and scanning ID cards for children and families that attend public events, or implementing stricter ID protocols at bars. Our sales and support teams have been getting a lot of questions about how LEADTOOLS can help these municipalities and socially aware developers with improving security.

We absolutely love hearing from our customers regarding our products. In fact, one of the primary ways LEADTOOLS grows is through the direct feedback, suggestions and feature requests from our customers both with shipping products as well as those mulling through ideas during their evaluation. Today we'd like to introduce Carey Payette, an experienced programmer, mom of 3, black belt and conference speaker. She also writes for Code Project from time to time, which is why she is a part of our blog today.

She recently took LEADTOOLS for a spin and wrote about her experience with our Document Viewer and Document Converter technologies. Her article starts from scratch and shows how little effort it takes to view a raster image with searchable text in the Document Viewer. Then uses the Document Converter to convert the picture into a Microsoft Word DOCX file for editing.
