LEADTOOLS Extends Encoder Support for MP4, MKV, and RTSP

Today, LEADTOOLS released an update to its Multimedia SDKs that enhances support for several formats and streaming capabilities. These improvements are all geared towards extending our support for various technologies as they emerge on the market, and in speeding up the overall process of streaming audio and video data to clients.

  • Added support for h.265 and h.264 hardware encoders to MP4 and MKV outputs
  • Added support for MP3 audio to MP4 and MKV outputs
  • Added support for MPEG-2 audio encoder to MKV output
  • Improved capture device support
  • Added the ability to use Microsoft RTSP media source using windows media extensions, with implementation of network source authentication interfaces

This update is freely available to any existing LEADTOOLS Version 20 customers and is included in the latest Multimedia SDK download.

Android Video and Screen Capture - Using ADB Wirelessly

As you may have heard, we recently released an update to LEADTOOLS mobile technologies. Part of the update included new demos, which we wanted to highlight with some new marketing videos. After some research, I determined that ADB (Android Debug Bridge) and a batch file was going to be the best way to capture videos and screens of the demos on the device. In this setup, I was able to run a command in the console to start the capture and pull the file from the device to my local file system with one command. After almost breaking the USB connector in my phone, I figured out how to do it over Wi-Fi.

This project from Mohamed will utilize the LEADTOOLS Multimedia DVR SDK alongside the Motion detector filter to capture a stream from a security or IP camera. When motion is detected in the camera, a convert control will save the previous 1 minute and the next 1 minute to a file for security purposes.
