Sets the maximum message length that can be processed (sent and received) by the current entity. This function is available in the PACS Imaging toolkits.

Parameter

Description

nMsgLength

The maximum message length to set.

Returns

DICOM_SUCCESS

Success. The maximum message length was set using the nMsgLength parameter.

DICOM_ERROR_PARAMETER

An error occurred. This usually occurs if the nMsgLength was smaller than 136. (136 bytes is the maximum size of data in mutual authentication request packet.)
