The ImageViewer class is a content control that contains various parts. Use the ImageEffect property to apply a bitmap effect to the image inside this control. Using the System.Windows.UIElement.Effect property of the control itself will apply the effect to all the control parts including the scrollbars for example which might not be the desired operation.
