The LEADTOOLS Multimedia toolkit is designed to provide you with all of the tools you need to create professional, high-quality multimedia applications. With it you can add multimedia functionality such as Capture, Play, and Edit, as well as the latest DirectShow and Media Foundation filters and multimedia file support. You can load/convert to and from many common file formats, such as WAV, AVI, WMA, WMV, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, OGG, and others. All in all, nearly 100 formats, media types, and subtypes are supported, with full control over compression quality. Get programmatic control over multimedia processors, compressors, video and audio inputs, types and sub-types; get increased camera control (brightness, contrast, zoom, etc); and get more flexible capturing options.
The following add-on modules are available to enhance these capabilities:
The LEADTOOLS DVD Module adds functionality for programmatically creating, capturing, authoring, burning, and playing DVD images.
The LEADTOOLS Streaming Module provides developers with all the necessary functionality for creating Media Streaming Servers, server/client and peer-to-peer streaming applications.
The LEADTOOLS MPEG-2 Transport Module includes DirectShow filters that allow you to play MPEG-2 Transport and MPEG-2 Program files from a file or from a UDP stream. It can also play data from an RTSP server. It is perfect for applications that accept video streams from hardware encoders, such as video transmissions from satellites and UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles). It includes support for pausing, rewinding and fast-forwarding live streams from sources including live TV streams, live MPEG-2 Transport data streaming or UDP/TCP or WMV streams. Support is also included for copying or converting a buffer to another format or DVD.
The Multimedia SDK and all of the above modules are included in the LEADTOOLS Multimedia Suite. The Multimedia Suite includes the Multimedia SDK and all the filters and codecs with the exception of the DICOM filters.
Create applications that can capture from WDM, native DirectShow including DV, native Media Foundation, Video for Windows capture devices, and control DV devices. In addition to a rich array of audio and video filters and codecs, the powerful The LEAD MPEG2 Transport Demultiplexer is a DirectShow filter that works in pull mode to parse data from three ISO / IEC-standard plus raw audio and video streams.
