Attached is a Visual Studio 2008 project that shows how to convert multimedia in a console application while printing the progress to the console.
This demo uses a ltmmConvertCtrlClass object and a basic message pump. Using this method of conversion is ideal for use in a service since no System.Windows.Forms.Form is needed to process messages.

Updated using VS 2017 to work with LEADTOOLS 20 Multimedia, Dotnet4 x86 libraries.
