Can anyone tell me if Leadtools Raster 13 has the capability of taking an image and saving it as a 2D PDF417 barcode?
I have been looking through the documentation but cannot locate information on this (I am probably looking in the wrong place)!
We have a scanner from Symbol that can read a 2D barcode and we render a grayscale image on the screen from the barcode but the method we were using to do this was by using a 16bit program that will not run on the 32bit platform so it has to be rewritten.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Hello,
Yes, LEADTOOLS has the capability to read and write PDF417 barcodes (2D).
However, the details depend on the programming interface that you are
using. For example, if you are using the API programming interface, you
can find the barcode demo on the following path on your machine:
...\Program Files\LEAD Technologies, Inc\LEADTOOLS\Examples\DLL\Barcode
Also, You can find the barcode EXE on the following path:
...\Program Files\LEAD Technologies, Inc\LEADTOOLS\Bin\BarCod32.exe
For more information about supporting PDF417(2D) in LEADTOOLS v13, you
can refer to the "Barcode API Helpfile" and read the following topics:
- Barcode Files
- BARCODEDATA
- BARCODEWRITEPDF
- L_BarCodeWriteExt
Note: you can find the barcode help file on the following path:
...\Program Files\LEAD Technologies, Inc\LEADTOOLS\Help\LTBARDLLN.HLP
