You can build and run the HTML5 Projects that we ship with the SDK using JavaScript instead of typescript. So for your document viewer, you just need to unload the TypeScript App and only use the App that is JavaScript only.
So to do that, follow these steps:
- Launch the Document Viewer Demo
- In the Solution Explorer, find the Apps folder
- Open up App1 and fine the 2 projects in there, App1TypeScript and App1
- Right click on App1TypeScript and choose 'Unload Project'
- Now right click on the Solution 'DocumentViewer' at the top and click on 'Set Startup Projects...'
- Under Common Properties -> Startup Project, make sure 'Multiple startup projects' is selected
- Then make sure that the App1 project has an Action of 'Start'
- Also, make sure that the DocumentsService is set to 'Start'
- Now you should be able to hit F5 and both the App1 client project as well as the DocumentsService server side project will launch.
You will now be able to make edits to the JavaScript App1 project and the App1TypeScript project will not override it. If you wish to do away with that project entirely, then you can always just delete it or move it as well.
