I am very much a novice but while using the 14 eval /w VB I had no problems displaying a 1BIT BW image scaled to gray. I just purchased the 14.5 vector pro and cannot get the grayscale image to display, there is no error msg. Any hlep would be appreciated.

The Scale To Gray feature is part of LEADTOOLS Document Imaging and Medical Imaging toolkits. It's not included in Vector Imaging Pro.
The evaluation edition has all features unlocked to let you try them, and the documentation specifies which features are included in which toolkit.
There is a work-around, but it requires much more memory. If you convert the image to 8-bit grayscale in memory and enable the Resample or Bicubic paint scaling modes, you will get improved display.
