The attached Visual Basic 6 demo uses the LEAD Video Callback DirectShow filter with the Multimedia Capture control and the LEAD Raster IO COM object to save a snapshot during capturing.
The Raster IO COM object is part of the LEADTOOLS 14.5 Raster Imaging Pro toolkit.

Update by moderator:
In later versions of the toolkit after 14.5, support for .NET was greatly improved and we now have C# and VB.NET demos shipped with the Multimedia toolkit.
The approach explained in this post applies also when using the .NET SDK.
