Are there plans to support it? We have tried to install the libraries for Leadtools 14.5 with no success.

Hello,

I am afraid that currently there are no LEADTOOLS VCL libraries for C++ Builder 2007.

If you would like, you can use the LEADTOOLS DLL API programming interface (C-Style functions) or our C++ Class library with C++ Builder 2007 instead of using the VCL libraries.

Thanks,
Maen Badwan

Are there plans for VCL libraries for C++ Builder 2007? If so, what is the estimated timeframe?

Thanks.

This thread:

http://support.leadtools.com/SupportPortal/cs/forums/16553/ShowPost.aspx

indicates Delphi 2007 supports Delphi 2006 libs (I have found it does support delphi 10). This thread:

http://support.leadtools.com/SupportPortal/cs/forums/4402/ShowPost.aspx

indicates that CBuilder 10 VCL support exists (although I cannot locate the bpls anywhere). Is is possible the VCL package for 2006 is functional in 2007?

Hello,

We have C++ Builder packages for Builder10. But we have not tested these packages with C++ Builder 2007.

If you would like to try these packages anyway, please contact LEADTOOLS support department at support@leadtools.com and ask about the latest Builder10 packages.

Thanks,
Maen Badwan

I will certainly try that. Do you have a timeframe for VCL packages for C++ Builder 2007?

There are no plans to add new VCL packages.  If you experience problems using the 2006 packages in 2007, let us know and we will look into it.

Thanks. We will try out the 2006 VCL package.

Does this mean VCL support is going to no longer be offered in the future?

That is correct.  The VCL interface was dropped in version 15, so 14.5 is the last version we plan on having VCL libraries.  Any future versions you will need to use something like the API or COM.
