I want to create user defined protocol, which will be responsible for connection between client and stream server. I have create a com object and implements the ILMNetProtocol, ILMNetConnection, ILMNetConnectionPoint interfaces and override the requ method as per the help topic.

Now from where(code block) i have to register the protocol for further use?  the protocol will register from application or com itself?

thanks in advance

It does not matter where
you register the protocol, because the COM object methods are called from the
application, so if you register it inside a COM object, the request will be eventually made from the Application's process space.
