Hi I'm using Leadtools V14.0 with VB6.0.

I Need to read the Total Distance or Calculate each distance for polyruler.
This polyruler is copied to another LeadRasterView by RastAnn.AnnPaste.

Could anyone please tell me how can I able to read the Distance of this polyruler annotation. For positioning other types of annotations I used RastAnn_OnAnnCreate event. But using AnnGetDistance2 method in RastAnn_OnAnnCreate event leads to termination of application and if I use it in RastAnn_OnAnnChange event the results are nothing.

What is the file version of ltr14n.dll that you are using?

Does AnnGetDistance2 work outside of those events?  What happens if you create a button and get the distance after the annotations are copied?

Hi Greg,,

File Version of ltkrn14n.dll is 14.5.0.2.
I am using the latest patch we have.

the AnnGetDistance2 method works fine if I call it from outside of Create and Change event. So as a workaround for my problem after copying my annotation I enumerated the container and check for each annotation object if its type of Ruler of likewise then I read the distance by AnnGetDistance2 method.

This causes an extra steps for me, as might be there are many annotations present other than ruler or polyruler, the problem is solved but I could you tell me why such problem causes in those events.

Now I am suffering from a different problem with Ruler Name Options.
I displayed ruler measurement in ruler name, so after I done with all the process in enumerate event after calling AnnRealize method the Name shifted to another location different than x and y specified me though they are visible on the exact location before I call AnnRealize method.

Thanks ....

Your DLLs are pretty old.  It's possible that both of these issues have already been addressed.

Please send an email to support@leadtools.com in order to get the download instructions for the latest patch.  For verification purposes, I need you to include the following information:

1. The company you work for
2. The LEADTOOLS serial number(s) you own (if you are evaluating, just say so)
3. The name(s) of the developer(s) using the serial number
4. A link to this forum post

If the problems persist after patching, please send a small sample project (NOT your entire application) that isolates the problem so I can try to reproduce it here.

NOTE: If you are attaching a project or file to the forums...
1.) Zip the file(s) up.
2.) Make sure it is less than 5 MB.  If it is larger, please send an email to support@leadtools.com and we'll send you FTP instructions.
3.) Remove ANY AND ALL unlock codes and LEADTOOLS DLLs.
4.) Do not click the preview button, the attachment will not show up when you post it.

If you do not wish to post your file(s) on the forum since they are publically viewable, please send an email to support@leadtools.com and make sure that you include a link to this forum post.
