Hi,
we've an OCR application using LEAD Tools 15 and some TIF files such as the attached one are giving it trouble - and this applies to the LEAD Tools example OCR programs as well
if I add a zone that is the whole page (Top=1,Left=1,Height=4673,Width=3306) then it doesn't read the line of text "Hazel Grove, Stockport, Cheshire, SK7 5BX"
If I add a zone that just surronds that block of text
(Top=100,Left=2216,Height=428,Width=909) then it does read that line of text OK.
I do want to read all the characters from the image in one go if possible - hence the page size zone
is there anything obvious I can do to get it to work
thanks
Martin

What is the LEADTOOLS programming interface (C DLL API, .Net, etc.) that you use?
What is the build number (version info) of LEADTOOLS v15 DLLs that you use?
Thanks,
Maen Badwan

Hi
we're using LEADTools 15.00 and the COM Interop layer from a VB 6 application.
15.0.1.21 of Leadtools.dll
15.0.1.9 of Leadtools.document.dll
Most of DLLs are dated 15th Feb 2009
thanks
Martin

I checked your image using our COM OCR demo example with the latest LEADTOOLS v15 patches released on July 9th and I was able to get all the text on it in one zone.
Please send the following information to
support@leadtools.com to get the latest patches:
1- Your Company/Programmer name.
2- Your LEADTOOLS toolkit serial number.
3- A link to this post.
