Hello,
I have a Core i7 but when i uses the sample Converter provided in the SDK to convert a 1080p video to MP4 its uses only a maximum of two cores. In the task manager my cpu shows a maximum of 45% of CPU being used. Should it not use about 80 to 90 % ?

The number of CPU cores used depends on the video compressor. For example, our MPEG-4 Encoder can use up to 2 cores, while our MPEG-2 Encoder can use up to 4 cores.
What's the codec you are using to convert the files to MP4?

Then this is normal since MPEG-4 only uses 2 cores.
If you want to request a feature for MPEG-4 to support 4 cores, please send a new email to

1. Your LEADTOOLS product serial number (do NOT post it here), or if you are evaluating say that.
